Martin Plaa (1901 – March 23, 1977) was a professional tennis player from France and had success as a professional in the early 1930s.
Plaa worked for some years in the late 1920s (timing uncertain) that the then very successful French Davis Cup team coach. During the first years of the 1930s belonged Plaa himself to the extreme world elite among professional tennis players. He was later unofficially ranked as number three after Bill Tilden and Karel Kozeluh after season in 1932.
Among the virtues are the singles title in the French professional tennis championships (French Pro) 1931 against the country man Robert Ramillon. Plaa also reached the finals in 1932 and 1934, but was defeated by Ramillon and Tilden respectively. In 1932 he won the singles title in the German professional tennis being played in Berlin. He defeated both the German player Hans Nüsslein and Bill Tilden.
